Any surplus money accruing to the fund is always used to buy & cancel more credits

• For example, from launch to 31st December 2007 PURE eliminated 72,508 tonnes of CO2
• 29,000 tonnes of this was not associated with donor carbon footprints (e.g. 29,000 were for simple donations)
• The charity was obliged to offset 40,715 tonnes in respect of donor carbon footprints
• PURE was actually able to offset 43,508 tonnes in respect of such donations, the extra tonnage being  funded by additional funds that accrued beyond those required to offset our donors carbon footprints.
