• PURE’s project selection procedures exceed the standards of the UK Government Code of Best Practice
• PURE only buys and cancels carbon credits that meet both of the following criteria:
  - Credits from regulated Kyoto markets, primarily CERs but also EUAs when appropriate
  - Credits from renewable energy and energy efficiency projects because of their long-term sustainability benefits to host countries
  
• PURE has a preference for projects with demonstrable sustainability benefits,
• PURE is an Official Supporter of the Gold Standard
• PURE ensures that projects meet additionality standards higher than those of the CDM.
• For EUAs, carbon credits are only sourced from British hospitals and universities.
